Job Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert technical assistance to customers, guiding them through the installation, configuration, and full use of ACEVR’s platform. You will troubleshoot technical issues, assist with complex integrations, and ensure clients are utilizing the full potential of our advanced VR and BIM capabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of the construction and architectural industries, coupled with technical knowledge of ACEVR’s software and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Onboarding: Help customers through the installation and configuration of ACEVR’s software.
Customer Support: Meet with customers in person and remotely, serving as their primary point of contact to troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to ACEVR’s platform.
Updates & Upgrades: Keep customers updated on the latest software features and enhancements, helping them implement updates and ensuring system optimization.
Issue Resolution: Help customers resolve issues ranging from VR/AR hardware compatibility to software performance, installation, and configuration, including integration with tools like Autodesk Revit.
Project Lifecycle Support: Assist customers at every stage of their projects, offering technical advice and support to ensure successful use of ACEVR’s features, including BIM, collaboration tools, and rendering technologies.
Training & Documentation: Provide clear and concise training sessions and create easy-to-understand documentation to help customers navigate both technical and operational aspects of the platform.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with the development and product teams to escalate issues, provide feedback, and stay updated on new features or potential challenges customers may face.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, or Information Technology. Undergraduate students are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Revit, VR/AR technologies, and BIM.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts, including C++, API integration, and multithreading.
- Experience with troubleshooting software and hardware issues, particularly in technical environments.
- Experience working with consulting companies in the construction industry
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to customer service.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively guide users through technical solutions.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time, remote role.
- Must reside in the area of Great Vancouver
